We are hiring compassionate, dependable people to join our growing team in Pleasant Hill and across the East Bay.

Behavior Technician (BT)

A strong starting point if you want to work with children and build a career in Applied Behavior Analysis. No certification needed to apply. We provide paid training and support qualified candidates toward RBT certification.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Work directly with children and adolescents, delivering individualized ABA programs under BCBA supervision, and build real relationships with the families you serve.

What the work actually involves

  • Delivering individualized ABA programs written by a BCBA
  • Teaching communication, social, play, adaptive and daily living skills
  • Using positive reinforcement and other evidence-based strategies
  • Collecting accurate session data and writing clear notes
  • Supporting skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs
  • Working closely with BCBAs, caregivers and the wider clinical team
  • Taking part in ongoing training and supervision
  • Protecting client dignity and confidentiality at all times

The same core work, with more training around it. You will start with paid orientation, shadow experienced staff, and take on cases as your confidence builds. Qualified candidates receive support toward RBT certification.

  • Reliable transportation for home-based cases across the East Bay
  • Availability that includes some after-school hours, since that is when many children are free
  • Successful completion of a background check before working with clients
  • Experience in childcare, education, psychology, special education, behavioral health or ABA is valued but not required for BT roles

Compassion matters here

Skills can be taught. The things below are harder to train, so they matter more to us than a resume.

If you have worked with children, in childcare, education, psychology, special education or behavioral health, that experience will help. If you have not, and the list above sounds like you, apply anyway.

Most of this job is showing up.

Not dramatically. Consistently. Same time, same face, same patience

, week after week, until a child trusts you enough to try something difficult in

front of you.

Then one day they ask for something out loud for the first time, or get their

own shoes on, or make it through a change of plan without falling apart.

Their family has been waiting a long time for that moment, and you were

part of it.

That is the part nobody puts on a poster, and it is the part that actually

changes things.

Different People. Brighter Tomorrows.
